Dufour V35 TM 4800
- Designer: Johan Valentijn who designed a few boats for the America’s cup and while working with Dufour designed the 4800 -
- Color: Light Gray Hull with Molded Non Skid, White Hull, black molded boot top.
- Specs: Length: 10.40m (34’.10”) - Beam: 3.40m - Draft: 6’5”
- Year built 1982.
Short History:
- The Bich Family who owns Bic Lighters and shavers owned Dufour Boats. Bruno Bich, now running the company had ordered a Dufour 4800 for cruising and racing in the USA. Needless to say that the boat came well equipped and somewhat customized: taller mast, deeper keel, bigger engine, all the rigging and instruments for racing as well as 17 North Sails! Working for Bic Corp, I ended buying the boat from Mr. Bich in 1993.
